Ellen's First Smile

Welcoming Ellen Elisabeth

This is our official welcome to Ellen Elisabeth Schmale. Born June 17th at 3:29 am. 3.92kg and perfect in every way.
Julie did perfectly in delivery and the nurses and doctor kept saying how they should have video'd her as she was in such control and great labour. We are very excited to see her.

Sponsorship approved!

So for those of you that havent heard, YWAM's sponsorship of us has been approved! It was originally denied, we appealed and now it has been approved. God has done a miracle. He always sticks to His word.
Anyway, we now have a bit more paperwork to get through, so if you are the praying type, then we would love your prayers to see us back in Perth by the end of 2008.

In the meantime, Julie is about a week of from giving birth. So we are eagerly anticipating what is thought to be our little girl's arrival.
We will post info and pictures as soon as we can. The official due date is May 31, however she is technically "full term" already a week ago, so whenever she is ready.

34 weeks

And finally showing a real belly! Yep, there's definitely something in there... :)
It's funny to look back and see pictures from previous weeks, cause then I thought
I looked so big, but compared to now it's been nothing!
Only another 6 weeks to go or so...
My doctor induces all her patients at 41 weeks which I find a huge relief!
-And I'm sure my mum will as well since she's flying in the 6th of June to spend
time with us and the baby and she obvoiusly hopes to get as much "baby-time"
out of it as possible.

First pictures of our little baby girl

Here you see her head, upper body, and one little arm in profile.
The two shiny dots are the two bones in her arm, so she has her hand on her tummy.

Here you see basically the same thing as on the first picture except now you can see a foot or a knee next to her hand.
The shadows you see are cast by the bones in her body that by now are hardening. On an earlier ultrasound when the bones are still soft you may not get these shadows. If you look closely at her head you can see a full set of teeth sitting in her gum, just waiting to come out.

This one is actually two pictures in one... they are very similar; both looking a bit up at her face from the front.
On the left one you can see her eye with the lids closed. One the right one you can see her little nostrils and her lips.
TOO CUTE!!!
Appearantly she is long and skinny (not surprisingly) and according to her dad she has mummy's lips and nose...
I guess we'll see for sure when she comes out :)

30 weeks along...

I was having fun with my camera, and as most people know I love looking at myself in mirrors or on photos -I know... so yeah, I thought I'd share this with you all :) lol...

Week 29 -final trimester!

Wow did my belly ever pop out over this past week! My belly button is almost flat... I might end up with an "outie" by the time this is over :) Both mummy and baby are doing well although sleeping has its challenges now -other than that I can only thank God for a GOOD and wonderful pregnancy!
Can't wait till we get to cuddle and kiss our little one -and blow rasberries on his/her belly!

Snowmobile on the weekend

Looking forward to Bubba

So I have to say that the coolest thing that I have felt, maybe forever, was our baby moving inside Julie's tummy. I dont know why, but its just such a crazy feeling to have your hand on there and feeling the this litte life moving around. Its amazing. Anyway, just thought I would share that with you.

Another Christmas Present
