In Denmark for Christmas

Well, we have both arrived in Denmark for Christmas this year. Julie left on the 28th of Nov, and I got here yesterday. The airline lost my luggage for a day, but it was here at the house by 10am the next morning so not a big stress.
We will be here until the 28th of Dec, and then on to Munich for the New Years with Michael and Natasa. It should be a fun trip.
I just gave Julie a non-anniversary gift. I say that cause we decided not to give each other anniversary gifts this year, but then I went and got her a new Nikon D40 anyway. I had been saving and working extra for it for a while. She was very very excited as she has been wanting a D-SLR for a while. She was even saving towards it but then we spent the money on our flights to DK instead.
Anyway, you might see some pictures up here from her if you write her and ask her nicely. :)
We will get some Christmas pics up here soon when they start arriving...

Been nusy

Well since the last post we have been busy bringing in the harvest here. Thats not really a good excuse for taking so long to write.
Just now we got finished making 390 pounds of sausage for the upcoming year. Its a Schmale family tradition. Ill post some pictures later on either today or tomorrow. Not all of it is for us. There is about 5 families involved. Its quite the big deal. Right now the sausage is in the smokehouse and after supper we will take it all out, and weigh and package it.
It makes for a long day but its usually fun to catch up with everyone and hang out as we work.

Tired

Ok, so really I am quite tired, and should be in bed, but we just got home from taking the youth to Paintball Paradise in PA (Prince Albert) and it was a really good time. We got together with another youth group in town and took 45 people to play.

Anyway, when I got home I had a new mouse waiting for me cause our friends went into Saskatoon to get some stuff so I had them stop by futureshop cause there was a mouse on sale there. I had been wanting a bluetooth mouse for a while and the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 came on sale, so I bought it. It is so nice.

Anyway, Im off to bed now, but I just thought I would write as its been almost a month again.

Julie owes you one, really the polls proved that, maybe if you all write to her, she will feel obligated and do it.

Cheers

Back from Camp

So we just made it back from camp @ 1am this morning. It was a great trip. A quote from one of the girls "Its not like I have a bad life or anything... but this was the best week of my life."

We had a great time and if we are still around here next year (PLease Jesus get us home to Perth) then we would definetly go again.

Check it out here. www.enr.ca

fast weeks

Dont you feel like the weeks go by really fast. Like all of a sudden, it has been a month since you have posted something on your site? Sad. So sad.

There has been lots going on with us, Julie's mom and bonus dad came to visit us for 4 days. We had a great time with them and it went by really fast unfortunately. But we managed to get to the lake to go sailing for the first time of the year with them.

Julie and I also went to the lake with a friend of ours and I managed to get up on a wakeboard for the first time ever. That was fun too.

I also got a new plane. The Parkzone spitfire.

I have had to do some major repairs on it already, but that is half the fun. :)

Anyway, take care. Ill try to write sooner. Or maybe if you think Julie should be writing too, then you can comment or email us to tell her.

Sorry for the time lapse

Hey, I realized that we have been super slack lately in updating here. So I will attempt to get back on track.
As a start, here is a video I took with my mobile phone strapped to the bottom of the r/c plane that Dad and I bought.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQOp3fOp1iI

We have been pretty busy lately with work and also now with getting the garden in. It has been a month a planting and I will send a picture of the garden later. The grass has been growing like crazy too, and so there is tons to do outside. However, you have to be careful when you do go outside that you dont get eaten by killer mosquitoes. Deep Woods Off, is my reccommended solution.

Michael and Natasa came ot visit for 10 days in the end of May as well and that was fun. We played a lot of cards and hung out a lot. Good times.

Anyway, that is all for now, like I said Ill try to keep on the ball from now on...

Computer troubles

Wow, this last week was a rough one for our baby Dell. We had to have the mainboard replaced because the card reader didnt work. I hadnt ever tried it and then when I went to use it, I found it didnt work. So that was fine.
But then we found out just in the nic of time that our Hard Drive was about to die too. So we managed to image it and get a new one in and transfer all of our stuff to it before the ship sank.
So now it is thursday night and all is well again.
I have to give it to Dell despite that we are in a very rural area, they had a technician and parts sent out and within a couple days everything was well and good. Aparently after talking to the tech that came out, (his company is contracted out by Dell) most others have to be sent in, and as a result will take much longer.
Anyway, God is good.

Its been a while, I admit

Ok, so I guess there has been things going on, but for some reason, I havent been thinking about writing about them.
For a random bit of information, my Dad and I bought a R/C airplane a week or so ago and its been great fun flying and sometimes crashing it. Ok, honestly, I think I have rescued it out of trees about 4 times already. But still, we are getting better.
Check the link for the plane itself. Maybe next time I will have video footage taken from the plane... That is the next plan.

Our Truck

Ok, so you know whats funny? Ever since we have been driving our truck, whenever we would see a cop, they would always be checking us our very intently as they drove past. We thought this was funny but maybe because its a kinda sporty truck and all. Anyway, we found out a couple of days ago that one of the drug dealers in town drives a truck just like it. :)
Now it all makes sense.

My Space

So, there is constantly this buzzing in my ears related to how we should sign up for My Space, and at this point I am still unwilling to do it. I dont know, maybe if I did then I would see what a wonderful gift to the world it really is. For now, I just want you all to know that I refuse to cave.
If anyone see's Adriel, please direct her to this post so that she can see my continued defiance.

In other news, we just found out that Julie has no health cover here in Canada anymore. So we are looking for the best option for that while we are here.

And no, we still havent slept in our Igloo, its been too cold, like -35, and then Julie got sick for about a week. So maybe next weekend. We'll see.

Youth Pastors

Well, after a month or so of job searching, I found one that works for us. We will be the Youth Pastors at our church in Melfort, NorthEast Christian Fellowship. We had wanted to be able to serve at the church while we were home and this allows us to do that as well as have a paying job. So both ways we win. As well it can be our main focus then while we are home. Rather than worrying about another job as well.

This does not mean at all that we are not going back to Perth, we are still planning to get back as soon as possible, and the church knows this as well. So its all good. Anyway, we are excited to be working with the youth and helping them grow closer to God.
